British & Brazilian

British & Brazilian has a long and established history of importing and supplying fresh fruit produce.

The company name originally derives from a joint venture between a Brazilian citrus supplier and a British fruit and vegetable salesman.

Founded in 1930, B&B began by trading Brazilian oranges in London's Covent Garden Market, and throughout the 60's and 70's pioneered pre-packed produce with major UK supermarkets.

More recently B&B has developed into a specialist procurer, distributor and category manager of grapes, stone fruits and melons.

In 1969 it moved to Silvertown in East London and then relocated nine years later into purpose-built storage, ripening and packing facilities at Earl Stonham, Suffolk. By 1978 the organisation had grown into a sizeable supplier in the marketplace.

Over the years, B&B has built up enviable international supply sources, procuring only the best quality fruit from more than 200 growers in over twenty countries worldwide.

In 2006 it merged with the expanding Produce World Group.

The head office is now based at Great Blakenham in Suffolk and the intake, storage, packing and despatch operations are carried out at our facilities in Yaxley.
