The term "Corporate Social Responsibility" is often associated with the concepts of charitable giving, legal compliance and "ethical" business. We prefer to view it as a broader discipline which encompasses both our company values and our behaviour towards everybody that our business has an impact on, be it directly or indirectly. We believe that as a forward looking business, we have a responsibility to these "stakeholders" to manage the social, environmental and economic impacts of our business activities in a sustainable way.
Today's consumers are looking for a lot more than affordable, safe food. They are demanding that food production today does not compromise the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. For Produce World this means ensuring that our rural environment is managed within nature's limits and that our local communities remain vibrant. Our commitment is to work in partnership with customers, suppliers, local agencies and our employees and neighbours to create a sustainable future for all.
We have strived to develop a robust and structured approach to CSR. Building on a strong foundation of policy we aim to drive targeted improvements in our social and environmental performance through our four 'pillar' strategies and to report the results.
