An important step in delivering our Community Impact commitment will be the establishment of a Produce World charity called 'The Growing Trust'. Funded primarily by a significant annual donation from the Produce World Group, it will coordinate all investment in our communities and will be specifically focusing on the following areas :

• The promotion of any charitable purposes for the benefit of the community in East Anglia and neighbouring areas, as well as worldwide agricultural communities, including but not limited to the advancement of education, the promotion of good health both mental and physical, the promotion of healthy eating and nutrition and the relief of poverty.
• The advancement of education in and the promotion of improvements in agriculture, horticulture, forestry, animal husbandry and related industries including food production, storage and distribution.
• The protection and preservation of the environment for the public benefit by promoting sustainable food production, biodiversity and conservation of the earth's natural resources.

The Trust is overseen by William, Andrew and Jason Burgess and looks for innovative ways for our businesses to make a positive contribution to their communities in addition to the more traditional grants and donations. It is incorporated as a company limited by guarantee and is in the process of being registered as a charity.
