Marshall Bros (Butterwick) Ltd

Marshalls are able to deliver quality produce to our customer's requirements, using the most sophisticated temperature controlled distribution equipment. Our service guarantees to deliver on time, and to whatever temperature is stipulated.
The transportation fleet of 37x26 pallet refrigerated trailers (model Gray & Adams, recognised as the market leaders in their sector) are able to deliver anywhere in the UK and Europe. We currently operate this fleet between our Spanish and Italian facilities and deliver product direct to our customer's distribution depots. Marshalls, the only company in the brassica sector using their own transportation fleet, offer the following advantages:
Delivery from Spain and Italy in less than 72 hours, (allowing products to arrive at their destination with extra freshness). Benefits to retailers and consumers are: extended shelf life no risk contamination during the distribution cycle guaranteed peace of mind that the product will arrive on time
Constant tracking information at our fingertips for up to date progress on customer orders.
Our commitment is to provide a continuous supply of quality product every day of the year. It is not possible to produce many of our products in the UK during the winter months and therefore we have for many years, contracted production with our partner - Agromark of Murcia in Southern Spain, and also three companies in southern Italy. Dedicated production ensures full adherence to UK production, quality and hygiene standards.
Kirton Site

This thirteen acre site has a state of the art packing operation and includes two and three quarter acres of modern glass propagation systems. The Kirton site has given us the ability to offer our customer base a fully Organic packing/grading operation.
Our record sales on organics during 2005 has placed us on target for having our Kirton facility fully operating on organic produce during 2008/09. This has allowed us to break through 60% organic unit throughput (weekly) and Peter Massingham (General Manager Kirton Division) has been pleased with how our new line development has allowed this to be achieved.
We have during the last year increased our production line capacity by 40% and have improved packing efficiencies through direct production flow of raw material and finished goods. This combined with improved lighting and storage areas means that Phase 2 of our upgrade for this facility has now been achieved, with full acknowledgment of our achievements from our customers.

We are delighted to announce that at the recent Sainsburys Brand Conference, held at their Holborn offices on 26th April 2010, Marshalls were presented with the award for Best Supplier Technical Service by Judith Batchelar, Director for Sainsburys Brand.
At the Food and Drink iNet Innovation Awards 2009, held in Leicester on Tuesday 17th November, the Food Processing Faraday Award for Most Innovative Large Food and Drink Manufacturer went to Marshalls (part of the Produce World Group), Butterwick, Boston, for the development of bellaverdeŽ sweet stem broccoli, that was launched in July 2009, and created in conjunction with Seminis.
