What is organic

In a nutshell... it is extremely healthy and nutritional food.

Organic crops have no nasty additives and you are not exposed to any pesticides' potentially harmful side effects.

Organic is a 'whole system approach' to farming, whole-heartedly embraced by the Produce World Group.

At RB Organic we actively encourage farmers to work within 'natural systems and cycles'; to nurture and sustain soil ingredients; to plant and encourage growth and onward vegetable supply chains to ourselves and to our high street customers.

We want farmers to maintain long-term natural fertility and biological activity programmes with the soil: RB Organic foster biodiversity commitments to create ecosystems which protect sensitive habitats in the countryside, and natural habitats alongside organic crops.

Our principal aims are simple:

  • To maximise the use of renewable sources and recycling on the land.
  • To minimise the 'processing' of food.
  • To provide a fair and adequate quality of life for all involved in the organic food chain.
  • To educate customers and consumers about the benefits of organic food.
